What Average Do You Need for Queen's Health Sciences?
Short answer: a low 90s floor and a mid 90s class. Queen's publishes the minimum prerequisite average it considered for each program last September, and for Health Sciences (OUAC code QH) it was the low 90s. OUInfo files the program in the mid 90s. In Fall 2022, 79.2% of Queen's health professions entrants from Ontario high schools came in at 95 or above, and 95.9% at 90 or above.
Queen's says: a low 90s minimum for consideration last year; mid 90s on OUInfo[1][2][3]

| 75-79 | 0.5% |
Required Grade 12 Courses
- ENG4U: English
- SBI4U: Biology
- SCH4U: Chemistry
Plus MHF4U or MCV4U, and two more 4U or 4M courses. English must be at least 80%. Queen's calls the supplementary application mandatory.
The supplementary application
Queen's requirements page says Health Sciences has a mandatory supplementary application, and OUInfo says applicants to Commerce, Health Sciences and Nursing are required to complete one. Queen's adds that applicants are admitted based on grades and supplementary information, with preference to the strongest overall qualifications, so the essay is read, not filed.
Queen's also says it does not make alternate offers of admission. If you want a fallback at Queen's, apply to a second program there.
A floor, not a range
The low 90s is Queen's own number: the minimum average on prerequisite courses required for admission consideration for September of last year, which it warns varies from year to year and could be higher. OUInfo's mid 90s is the band Queen's filed the program in. The CUDO table is who registered in Queen's health professions group: 79.2% at 95 or above, 16.7% at 90 to 94, 3.2% at 85 to 89 and 1.0% below 85. The entering average was 96.3.
CUDO reports by group, so this is the health professions group, not the BHSc alone; Queen's reports Nursing separately.
What these numbers mean for you
A 91 clears last year's floor and sits in the band 16.7% of the class came from. A 94 is still below where four in five of the class came in. There is no published average for admitted students above the minimum, so treat the floor as the entry ticket and the supplementary application as the decision.
If calculus isn't in the plan, MHF4U alone satisfies the math requirement; MCV4U does too.
